Z Zegna a/w 2012

When I watched the catwalk in livestream last January I liked this collection, but I though it wasn't as awesome as the last winter 2011 collection. But then I gave it another chance and looked deeper into it. And do you know what I found? Wonderful details. Perfection. Beauty my friends.
Let's begin: the colour range is deep and blueish with bright orange, electric blue and turquoise pops and earthy greens and browns. But that's not my favorite part.

Talking now about the garments, the italian tailoring from Z Zegna is perfect (and the one from Ermenegildo Zegna it's even MORE perfect). Actually that kind of freaks me: the suits only have wrinkles on the points where the body moves (elbows, knees, inner leg) y that's just because the model is walking. I can't even understand how to create something that perfect, I'd kill for sneek-a-peak at how that suits are made. I wanna do that when I grow up: perfect tayloring.
I also loved the unexpected colour blocking: not easily seen at the lower part of the sleeves and the backs. Just wonderful. Actually the backs in some looks are the most important part with the contrast colours and blocking. But that's not my favorite part either.

What I liked the most (and sadly was hardly seen at the fashion show) were the details. Yes. That's it. I mean, how not to love the contrasting thumb in the gloves, the blue buttons on a grey sleeve, the simple looking ipad cases or the side-back details on the trousers?

¿Ustedes qué pensaron de la colección? ¿Cuál fue su pieza favorita?
