Raf Simons es como un dios. Él es el dios creador de el nuevo look y fit para caballero, ese fit que evolucionó del que el anterior dios-del-menswear Hedi Slimane creó en sus días en Dior Homme.
Simons es ahora el nuevo director creativo de Dior (¿alguien nota los puntos en común aquí?) y aún hace su propia línea, la cual cada temporada es referencia clave en menswear por su gran uso del color, los estampados arriesgados pero usables y (por supuesto) las siluetas perfectamente limpias y de apariencia simple.

Pretty nails

Todo mundo sabe que soy fan de las uñas. No fan del nail art exagerado de Niurka, si no simplemente soy fan del color y de las manos perfectamente cuidadas. Hoy mezclo una de mis marcas favoritas de barnices de uñas y una de mis revistas favoritas: Essie y Allure Korea.
La editorial es muy inspiradora con ese colores pastel y elegí algunos colores de Essie para que ustedes (y yo) puedan tener esas uñas bonitas.
OBVIO no olviden la base antes del color y una top coat para protegerlo.

Everyone know I'm a nail fan. Not a fan of over-the-top-nail-art, but simply a fan of colour and a prefectly groomed hands. Today I mix one of my favorite nail polish brands and one of my favourite magazines: Essie and Allure Korea.
The editorial is quite inspiring with all those pastele colours and I choose some colours from Essie so you (and I) can get those pretty hands.
OBVIOUSLY do not forget to wear a base coat before colour and a top coat after.

Flower Power! NOT only for girls

¿Quién dice que las flores son sólo para niñas? Bueno, de hecho SON bastante femeninas pero también hay flores de hombre (ni siquiera estoy segura de que esto esté teniendo sentido), y esos estampados florales son CLAVE en esta temporada, así que no pretendan que no se los advertí dandies.
Esta tendencia es totalmente sobre el tipo de estampado que uses: porque NO es lo mismo usar una camisa hawaiiana sacada de Miami Vice que unos tenis de flores en miniprint o una corbata con flores ridículamente grandes. De hecho es un asunto bastante delicado. ¡Pero deja de correr en círculos como muppet! Aquí vamos a ver las claves para usar esta tendencia y no morir en el intento.

Who says flowers are only for girls? Well, they actually ARE pretty femenine, but there also are men's flowers (I'm not even sure that makes any sense), and those floral prints are a KEY PRINT this season, so you cannot pretend I didn't tell you this my dear dandies.
This trend is all about the kind of print you'll wear: it is NOT the same wearing a Miami Vice hawaiian shirt than floral miniprint sneakers or a ridiculous tie with huge flowers. It certeinly is a delicate matter. But stop running in circles like a muppet! Here I give you the keys for enjoy wearing the floral trend and not die trying.

En teoría mñana abren la nueva tienda de Stradivarius en Buenavista, acá en la Ciudad de México. Ésta es la única tienda de Inditex que no había llegado a nuestro país y también es mi favorita (no sólo por la referencia al laudero barroco, de hecho me volví súper fan el otoño pasado en Barcelona), es bastante barata, stylish y es TAN mi estilo (hasta los básicos, así que imagínense). Hay esta y otra tienda más en México, en Parque Tezontle (Si me preguntan "¿en dónde es Parque Tezontle?" la respuesta sería en el mundo de los emoticons o.O, o "no tengo la menor idea), pero la de Forum Buenavista es muy céntrica y está cerca del tren suburbano, el metrobús y el metro. Así que es perfecto ¿no?
Como sea miren algunas cosas que muero por comprar:

In theory tomorrow will open the brand new Stradivarius store in Buenavista, Mexico City. This is the only Inditex store that hasn't arrived to Mexico and it also is my favorite one (not only for the reference to the baroque violin maker, actually I became a total fan last autumn in Barcelona), it's very cheap, stylish and SO my style (even the basics, so you can imagine). There is only another one here in Mexico in Parque Tezontle ("Where is Parque Tezontle?" you may ask, and the answer in the world of emoticons would be o.O, or "I don't have the slightest idea"), but this one in Forum Buenavista is very centric and near the train, metrobus and subway. Perfect, isn't it?
Anyway, I'm dying to shop some styles there and here I share them with you:

I want everything from The Body Shop

Tengo dos preguntas muy importantes: ¿Por qué las tiendas de The Body Shop huelen a fresitas? Y, ¿Cómo le hacen para que uno entre a la tienda y salga con 4 cosas extra que no necesitaba?
Bueno, tengo algunas teorías:
1. El dueño es Voldemort y usa magia que hace que quieras todo.
2. El olor a fresitas te derrite el cerebro.
3. Que tengan tantos probadores te hacen adicta antes de comprar el producto.
4. Mientras el envase sea más pequeño, más ganas tienes de comprarlo.
Como sea, el punto es que hoy en la tarde entré a un The Body Shop buscando comprar una body butter y un delineador líquido (porque el mío ahora me hace llorar y me siento un tanto ridícula luciendo como en comedia romántica pero sin una versión joven de Hugh Grant), pero salí con dos Body Butters de cocoa, dos Born Lippies y una bolsa de la bandera de Inglaterra. Y sin delineador.
Les dejo la advertencia: esa tienda es la máxima perdición. Y me encanta.

I have two important questions: Why do The Body Shop stores smell like strawberry shortcake? And, how do they do it for me to get in the store and buy 4 extra things I didn't need?
I have some theories:
1. The owner is Voldemort and with magic he makes us want everything.
2. The strawberry shortcake smell melts your brain.
3. All the testing makes you feel addict to the product before buying it.
4. The smallest the container, the more you want it.
Well, I'm quite sharp, you cannot deny it.
Anyway, the point is that this afternoon I got in a Body Shop looking for a body butter and a liquid eyeliner ('cause mine makes me cry and I feel kind of ridiculous looking like in a romantic comedy but without a young version of Hugh Grant), but I left with two cocoa butter Body Butters, two Born Lippies and an England flag reusable bag. And with no liquid eyeliner.
I tell you: this store is the absolute doom. And I love it.

Sólo hay dos teorías para lo que me pasó hoy:
1. Estoy creciendo después de la adolescencia.
Ó 2. Las tallas se están haciendo más pequeñas. De hecho más cortas.
Bueno, éste es el problema: a mis jeggings, de repente, les hacen falta 7cm. ¿Cómo y por qué y cuándo sucedió eso? ¿Acaso es algún problema que tienen los jeggings en contra de todas las Elis del mundo?
Hum... Ok, tal vez no.
Así que empecemos desde el principio:

Yo SIEMPRE compro mis jeggings en Zara Kids (ya sé lo que están pensando: "¡¿QUÉ?! ¡¿Zara Kids?!"), me quedan perfectos y el largo también es perfecto para mí porque siempre uso flats, botitas militares o tenis. Pues ayer compré un par de jeggings grises de deslavado ácido en mi talla normal, y entonces apareció el problema: me quedaron bien pero están muy cortos. MUY cortos.
Sí, sí, no me los probé en la tienda. Pero eso es porque yo SIEMPRE compro la misma prenda en la misma talla.
Y aquí aparece otra vez la pregunta: ¿como por qué mis jeggings están 7cm cortos? ¡¿POR QUÉ, DIOS, POR QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEÉ?!
Esto luce como un misterio del universo que sólo Stephen Hawking podría resolver.

P.S. Por cierto, ¡éste es mi entrada número 100! ¿No están orgullosos de mí?


There are only 2 theories for what happened today:
1. I'm getting taller after the adolescence.
Or 2. The sizes are getting smaller. Actually shorter.
Well, here's the problem: my jeggings, suddenly from God, are lacking of at least 3 inches. How and why did that happen? Is it some kind of problem of the jeggins against all the Elis in the world? Ok, may be not. So, let me start from the beggining:
I ALWAYS buy my jeggins at Zara Kids (I know what you're thinking: "WTF? Zara Kids?!!"), they suit me perfect and have the perfect length for me 'cause I always wear ballet flats, combat boots or sneakers. Yesterday I bought a pair of gray acid washed jeggings in my usual size, and then, there was the problem: it suited me well, but they're too short. TOO damned short.
Yeah yeah, I didn't try them on when I was at the store. But that's because I ALWAYS buy the same garment in the same size.
And here again the question: why are my jeggings 3 inches shorter?! WHY, GOD, WHYYYYY?!
This seems like a mistery of the universe for Stephen Hawking to solve.
